Sharing embarrassing issues

I know from experience that sometime we have issues that are so embarrassing, we hardly dare talk about them.  I believe online counselling can help deal with some of these problems in a way, which allows your embarrassment to be minimised.

You don’t have to sit in front of someone and explain what is going on.  Hardly able to speak, with your cheeks burning, wishing that the ground would open up and allow you to crawl in a hole.  Online counselling allows you to write in the privacy of your own settings, choosing a time that is convenient to you.  There is no pressure to share everything in one go, and you are free to talk about everything in depth.

Many times clients believe they must be the only person in the world who has this problem.  Sex can be a subject that is almost taboo to discuss in detail.  But if you are having problems, please know that you are certainly not alone.  I have worked with many clients who have suffered for years with problems, but by sharing about these problems we have been able to work together to resolve issues that have been there for as long as 40 years.

Feel free to share with me whatever is going on.  You don’t need to try to make the problem seem better than it really is.  Just tell me things as they really are, that way we can spend time working together on the actual issues.  Remember everything that you tell me is confidential.
