| | Eating Disorders - The Journey to Recovery Workbook
This is an excellent workbook that takes you through your eating disorder, your relationship with food, body issues, women's issues, men's issues, substance abuse, trauma and abuse, media madness and much more. This workbook helps you to identify things that need to be changed to move your recovery forward. I would certainly recommend this.

| | The Twelve-step Workbook of Overeaters Anonymous
An excellent workbook that I would recommend to anyone suffering from an eating disorder. It examines your whole life and attitudes, helping you to discover what is driving your eating disorder. It asks the questions and you fill in the answers.
This workbook accompanies the book Twelve steps and Twelve Traditions by Overeaters Anonymous.

| | The Twelve Steps and Twelve Traditions
This book explains the steps and traditions that are the core of the Overeaters Anonymous Programme. This approach does not simply focus on the physical recovery but also looks at the emotional and spiritual side too. This is not a religious programme. It is based on the more well known Alcoholics Anonymous Programme.
I would recommend this along with attending Overeaters Anonymous meetings.

| | Food Addiction. The Body Knows.
Explains in detail about food addiction and how to stop it. Very enlightening and definitely worth reading. The food plan is detailed in the book below 'From the First Bite', so you might want to buy both books together.

| | From the First Bite. A Complete Guide to Recovery from Food Addiction
An excellent book that is quite radical and extreme if you follow the plan to the letter. Although not everyone can suddenly develop a food plan as strict as this initially, many people find ultimately they need to remove all or most of the foods that are recommended to be abstained from. Certainly worth a read. Defines all possible food triggers so if you are struggling this book will help you identify them. Lists every possible name given to sugar - yes there are 6 pages of them!
